EXTERIOR WORK - From J&S Plastering & Building
Exterior work will transform a house or building no matter whether old or new. The three most common types applied to exteriors are : pebble dashing, rendering and tyroleaning. The finish can be used to match up an extension to an existing finish. Also it can give a house a completely new look to suit your own personal preferences or taste. All exterior work is treated with a waterproof additive and can be sealed at the owner's request to accommodate a paint finish.
WE ARE SPECIALIST CONTRACTORS IN REGARD TO THE FOLLOWING:
• PEBBLE DASHING • RENDERING • TYROLEAN FINISHES
PEBBLE DASHING
Pebble dashing consists of three phases. A base coat is applied, then secondly a rendered coat and to finish pea-shingle is applied for the completion. Mouse-over the image on the right to see prior to the application of the pebble dashing.
RENDERING
Rendering an exterior of a building consists of two phases firstly a base coat is applied followed with a smooth top finish. Mouse-over the image on the left to see prior to rendering.
TYROLEAN FINISH
A tyrolean finish is produced from the same method as rendering except a specialized tyrolean coat is applied for the final look. A tyrolean finish has a "rough" texture, but is not as course a finish as pebble dashing. It can also be painted after it has been stabilized. MOUSEOVER IMAGE ON RIGHT.
